Thanksgiving Recaps and Ideas

Is everyone else as excited about Thanksgiving as I am?  I’d almost forgotten that my favorite holiday was still to come with every store already filled with Christmas displays, but just when I think that Thanksgiving has snuck by I remember that it’s been 11 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days since my last mashed potato and stuffing induced food coma and it’s almost time to do it again.  I’ll be spending the long weekend in Wisconsin with my boyfriend’s family, and I cannot wait to eat, relax, and maybe do a little cooking.  I guess that’s not much different from what I do every other day, but I have a feeling that all of those things will be even more fun than usual.

I thought I’d share some photos from my last two Thanksgivings as well as some recipe suggestions.  I was flipping through the photos last night, which made me even more excited for Thursday, so hopefully they do the same for you.

Good food

Family time

Bobby ate a turkey leg…

and drank a giant Duvel.

I went all Annie Oakley and played with my brother’s birthday present.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KYLE!

Caryn dressed like a rapper, and she and Kyle frosted gun-shaped cut out cookies – just like the pilgrims!

Eating everything in sight
